Gross Downs' Obituary
DOWNS, GROSS LEE, age 88, died July 1, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia. Loving father of Gary (May) Downs, and Sharon (Douglas) Tarrance. Caring grandfather of 7, great-grandfather of 10, and great-great-grandfather of 8. Dear brother of Wanda Faye Ford. He is predeceased by 4 sisters and I brother. He retired from the G.M. Tech Center in 1989. Served in the Army during WWII. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3-9pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R., Madison Heights. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am at the funeral home with the burial to follow at White Chapel Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 20300 Civic Center Dr. Suite 100, Southfield, MI 48076.
