Glenn Turner's Obituary
Glenn (Tom) Turner, 71, of Hazel Park, died at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital on February 10, 2011. He was born October 20, 1939, in Hazel Park, Michigan to the late Glenn &Lennie (Scott) Turner. He was an active member of the Hazel Park Lions and the Hazel Park Masonic Lodge. He was a Hazel Park High School gratuate in 1957, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, past president of the Hazel Park Board of Education, and a local realtor for many years. Loving husband of Judy (Gettlinger) Turner for 52 years. Dear father of Vicki Bennett of Madison Heights, Robert (Patty) Turner of Oviedo, Florida, Susan (Kenneth) Stuef of Hazel Park, and Laura (Tony) LaForme of Hazel Park. Beloved grandfather of Sara & Jeffrey Bennett, Kyle (Marlo) & Jack Stuef, Emily & Ethan LaForme, and great grandfather of Willa Stuef. He is brother to Bobbie (Tom) Kubat, John (Kathy) Turner, Bill (Cheryl) Turner, and many nieces, nephews and other family members. He is predeceased by his grandson Ryan Bennett. Visitation Sunday 2-9 pm (Lions Service at 7 pm), with the funeral service Monday at 1 pm, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Hazel Park Lions Club, 428 W. Morehouse, Hazel Park, MI 48030.
