Lucile is remembered in love by three surviving sisters; Johnny Alice King, Bernice Banks and Ruby Lee (Wallace) Miller; and, brother John Gibbs, Jr. She is also affectionately remembered by many nieces, nephews, neighbors (Keith) and her church/faith family.
Lucile suffered many illnesses and losses over the past 15 years; but, she remained strong in spirit, faith and mind. She always tried to do what she could for her family and believed in education. Our greatest memory as kids was walking to the library checking out books and eating Sanders ice cream! She was a great cook; cooking pies and cakes for family and friends during the holidays. Her greatest love was doing puzzles, sewing and watching westerns. She was an amazing seamstress making women and men’s clothes and even women’s fancy hats. Like her beloved husband Leon they were of a simpler time and generation.
