George Leitermann's Obituary
George Alan Leitermann, age 69, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Thursday, July 12, 2012. George was retired from Fourslides, Inc, Madison Heights. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, who honored and loved our country. He enjoyed the farms and family, in Sebewaing, MI where his great-grand-parents settled when they arrived here from Germany. He loved all of nature, traveling up north, fishing, snowmobiling, collecting sand dollars on Coronado Island in San Diego, woodworking in his garage, being a devoted U of M fan but most of all, he loved God and being with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, DiAnne (Cagle) Leitermann, Children, Tammi (Kevin) Lech, Kimberly McCardell, Tracy (Edward) Androsuk, Robert Carrow and daughters Jodi and Wendy of Arizona and brothers Tom and Jim. Godsons, Jason and Christopher Bryant. Grandchildren; Melissa, Chaz, Ryan, Greg, Chelsey, Meghan, LinMarie and Alli and 6 great-grandchildren and loving sisters’ and brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews, cousins; Richard and Janet and closest friend Mike, and a multitude of friends.
Interment will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 9:30 am.
A Memorial Service is being planned for later date.
