In tears we saw you sinking and watched you fade. Hearts were broken. They wanted you to stay, but when they saw you sleeping. So peaceful and free from pain. How could we wish you back with us. To suffer again. It broke our hearts to lose you. But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you. The day God called you home. May you always be in his Glory.
Joan, I'm sorry we couldn't make it up to be with you during this time. Of course, it brings sorrow to all of us who knew and loved Grandpa J. I'm thankful my family got to see him when he was still full of life and his wonderful sense of humor still such a presence! I love to tell stories to all who will listen about our trip to Detroit and the zoo! I know you have been through an extremely challenging time with grandpa's illness and I want you to know that I am very happy and proud of how you took care of him all these years. So sorry for your loss Aunt Joan. Uncle George loved children so much. I remember him soiling ours on his visits. He always wore a smile. He will be missed
