George Frederick Halsig, 84, of Sterling Heights, passed away March 2, 2011. He was born September 11, 1926, in Detroit to Charles and Lillian Halsig. Beloved husband of Dolores for 59 years. Loving father of Douglas, Dennis, Debra (Michael) Malak, and Geoffrey. Dear grandfather of Michael (Jennifer) Malak. Jaimee (Isaac) Mizzi, Christopher (Melanie) Malak; great grandfather of Gabrielle, Shelby, James, Cody, Nicholas, Christopher, and Brooke; and great great grandfather of Jaylynn; brother of Charlotte Lemmer, Katherine Shaw, and Linda Klien. He retired after 42 years from Ford Motor Co. Visitation Sunday 3-9 pm, with the funeral service Monday at 11 am, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. Burial in Bruce Armada Cemetery.
