Genevieve Filko, age 96, a longtime resident of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on December 22, 2018 at Troy Beaumont Hospital, Troy. She was born on August 30, 1922 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Karol and Mary Jekielek.
Beloved Wife of the late John Filko. She is predeceased by her son, Charles. Dear Mother of Patrice (Joseph) Rizzo, Sharon Franzel, Robert Filko and Jeanette Filko. Loving Grandmother of Jason, Brandon and Frances.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 28th beginning at 9:30 am Instate followed by the 10:00 am Mass at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rochester, Michigan. Burial will be at Eastlawn Cemetery, Lake Orion, Michigan.
