Gary Lynn Neiswonger's Obituary
Gary Lynn Neiswonger, age 72, January 24, 1947 -- December 17, 2019. His was a peaceful passing as he joined his parents, father--William Darl Neiswonger I and mother --Clara Louise (Buffington) Neiswonger, and brother --William Darl Neiswonger II. Gary is survived by his sister, Brenda Louise Neiswonger, and nephews, William Darl Neiswonger III, Edward Sloan Neiswonger, Robert William Wellbaum, Shawn Thomas Wellbaum, and nieces, Shannon Minette (Neiswonger) Acevedo, Malissa Lynn (Neiswonger) Herceg, 6 great nephews, and 7 great nieces. Gary was a Vietnam Veteran US Army, Sept 1966-Aug 1969, and served with Co B 1st Aviation Battalion as crew chief on the 1st Infantry Div. Assistant Commanding General’s command and control helicopter and was awarded the Air Medal for heroism. He will be interned at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
