Frank L. Cox's Obituary
Frank Cox, age 88 of Warren, Michigan passed away on November 20, 2016 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital - Warren Center. He was born on February 12, 1928 in Grundy, Virginia.
Frank was preceded in death by his eight siblings and his son Kyle Cox. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carleen and his children Terry (Vicky) Cox, Danielle (Todd) Hibbard and Kirk (Brenda) Cox. Papa Frank is also survived by his grandchildren Kevin, Chase, Mackenzie and Veronica.
Frank is a U.S. Navy veteran from WWII and a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He faced combat in both wars. He had a long career in the retail business. Frank was a teaching minister in his church as long as he was able. He was a loved mentor to many people in the congregation over the years. He was a member of the Tabernacle Christian Church in Warren and many people respected his life and love for the Lord. He loved to golf and read western novels and he had a passion for ice cream. Frank and Carleen loved to travel. They visited all but two of the United States and several foreign countries.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25th from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26th beginning with 10:00 am Instate followed by the 11:00 am service at Tabernacle Christian Church, 14205 E. 12 Mile Road, Warren, Michigan. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
