Donald Ross & Family
I was fortunate to grow up next door to Frank and Irene. The world would be a better place if everyone had this same opportunity.
Frank and Irene were like my second parents who showed me love, kindness, friendship and honesty. They made me part of their family. I even got the big brother I always wanted with their son Frank. I helped him with his 68 Camero and got to go on my first hunting trip, rabbits using my slingshot.
I will always remember the summers with Frank and Irene. I can close my eyes now and hear the Tiger's game playing on the radio in their garage, see the apples growing on that big apple tree in their backyard, smell the hickory chips burning on the charcoal grill and my Dad and Frank not only sharing a laugh but a Carling's Black Label beer across the fence. Not just one but a case.
Next to my Father, no better man has walked this earth. Frank was my Hero. Frank was my Superman. When it came time for my Confirmation, their was only one man to be my Confirmation Father. I was honored that Frank was my Confirmation Father.
I will miss his stories he told me about the horse he had up north named Pal. "Nice trick to play when I loved horses." I will miss those early Sunday morning motorcycle rides that I got to sit on the back and hold on tight
Happy Honda Trails.
Love, Donald
