Francis Henry Meister's Obituary
Francis Henry Meister, age 80 of Howell, Michigan, formerly of Sterling Heights and Warren for 37 years passed away at his home on November 19, 2018. He was born January 1, 1938 in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota.
Beloved husband of Margaret of 58 years. Dear father of Robert Meister, Philip (Kathy) Meister, Dan (Nancy) Meister and Tracy (John) Polasek. Grandfather of Pierce, Callista, Annelise, Austin, Chase, Vivienne, Alec, Jack and Elizabeth. Frank is also survived by his very special “family,” Bruno. Brother of John Meister, Joseph Meister, Diane Brandt and Laurie Miller. Predeceased by his siblings Bonnie Wreath, Marilyn Schaub and Bill Meister.
Frank served 8 years in the National Guard and retired from Chrysler Corporation. He enjoyed fixing TV’s, cars, tractors and lawnmowers. He was an avid collector of clocks, tools and other treasures. He loved working in his vegetable garden. Frank was a member of the FOP Sterling Heights for over 30 years and Knights of Columbus and the 4th degree.
Visitation will be Monday, November 26th from 3 pm to 9 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights (one block north of 13 Mile Road on the west side of John R Road). He will be Instate on Tuesday, November 27th at 10 am until the time of Mass at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 425 East Washington Street, Howell, MI 48843.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Blessed Solanus Casey, 1780 Mt Elliot Street, Detroit, Michigan, 48207, would be appreciated.
