Floyd Walters,'s Obituary
Floyd L. Walters Jr., 81, of Ferndale, died Feb. 14, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Hazard, KY. Mr. Walters was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He retired form Grand Trunk Railroad after 25 years of service as a rate analyst. He was also a member of the Ferndale V.F.W. Post 1407, an American Legion memeber at large and a drummer in various bands. Mr. Walters is survived by his children, Wayne Walters, Floyd (Tina) Walters III, Katherine Willer, Tina Walters and Mary-Madaline (Don) McDoughall; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and brother Jerry Byersols. He is predeceased by his wife, Faye on Aug. 15, 2003; and children Floyd Walters, Deborah Walters and Gary Walters. Visitation will be held Monday, 3 to 9PM and the funeral will be Tuesday at 11am at Hopcroft Funeral Home in Hazel Park. Burial will be at Oakview Cemetery.
