Evah G. Briggs' Obituary
Evah G. Briggs, age 97 of Lake Mary, Florida passed away on February 21, 2025 at Grand Living at Oakmonte. She was born on August 26, 1927 in Highland Park, Michigan to Rudolph and Winnifred Mertens.
Beloved wife of the late Lyman Briggs, who passed away on August 23, 2012. Evah and Lyman were wed on June 26, 1946. Cherished mother of Jeffrey (Christine) Briggs and the late Donna Louise Briggs, who passed in 1958. She is preceded in death by her siblings Glenn Mertens, Herman Mertens, Lois Godlewski, Lauretta Siwicki, and Don Mertens.
Evah was a former resident of many towns in Michigan which include Commerce Township, St. Clair, and Clawson.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Donation can be made to a charity of your choosing.
Visitation will take place on Friday, March 7th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will begin again at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 8th and will continue until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 am Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak, Michigan will follow.
