Eulalah Louise Anderson's Obituary
Eulalah Louise Anderson, age 97 of Warren, Michigan passed away on June 9, 2020 at Sun Valley Center, Troy, Michigan. She was born on April 17, 1923 in Murphysboro, Illinois to Anna Marie Hight.
Beloved Wife of the late Dean Anderson. Dear Mother of Linda Anderson and Dean (Mary) Anderson. Loving Grandmother of T.J. (Julie) Klapperich, Kimberly (Jeff) Buchholz, Lara (Nick) Ligerakis and Michael (Laura) Anderson. Great-Grandmother of A.J., William, Hudson, Jameson, Eleni, Stelios, Linda, Isabella, Liliana and Henry. Sister of Regna Alford and Charles Ray, pre-deceased by siblings Ralph Hight, Robert Hight, Phyllis Parsons and James Ray.
Louise grew up the oldest of five children moving between Illinois and Michigan. At the age of 23, she fell in “love at first sight.” Dean and Louise soon married on February 14, 1947, and later welcomed their two children while living in Detroit.
Louise was an intelligent woman who worked as a bookkeeper and accountant. She particularly enjoyed her years working at Tam O’Shanter Country Club and being an active member of the International Association of Hospitality Accountants (IAHA). Louise also enjoyed traveling, going to the theatre, and dining out with friends.
Louise will most be remembered for her love and devotion. She had a deep faith in Jesus Christ that she passed down to her family. Hosting family gatherings, especially at Christmas time, brought her so much joy. She was extremely generous and loved paying for meals, giving gifts and helping when someone was in need. She took pride in spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After years of being cared for at home by her daughter, Louise’s battle with dementia became too great and required more specialized care. Her family is very thankful for all the care provided by the staff of Sun Valley Senior Living and Compassus Hospice. Louise touched the lives of so many with her faith, love and generosity, and she will be deeply missed.
Memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans (dav.org) and Gideons International (gideons.org)
Burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan.
