Ellis "Gene" Moore's Obituary
Ellis “Gene” Moore, age 69 of Warren, Michigan passed away on May 6, 2017 at St. John Macomb, Oakland Hospital – Oakland Center, Madison Heights, Michigan. He was born on September 14, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to Otis and Etura (Jones) Moore.
Dear Father of Susan (Douglas) Asbury and Lisa LeMieux (Ray Wilson). Grandfather of Sarah Moore and Angel Asbury. Predeceased by his former wife, Helen Moore. Brother of Doyle (Pat) Moore and Arvalene Moore.
Gene was a Vietnam Era Veteran and a member of the UAW for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, playing the guitar, drawing and walking to the park. He loved bluegrass music.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the funeral service at 6:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road, (South West corner of John R. Road and Woodward Heights – 9 1/2 Mile Road), Hazel Park, Michigan.
