Edward Klobucher's Obituary
Edward Klobucher, age 91, of Hazel Park MI passed away on July 11. 2018.  He was born October 13, 1926 in Strabane, PA.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Lyla (Rinnan), and sons Larry (Late Janice) Johnson, Edward G. (Diane) Klobucher, and Scott A. (Lia) Klobucher, as well as seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by sisters Josephine (George) Mikitin, Mary Jane (William) Prost, and Agnes (Edward) Engel, and in-laws Frank Gorup and Kathryn Klobucher.  He was preceded in death by his brothers George and William Klobucher, and his sister Dorothy Gorup.
Mr. Klobucher served in the United States Navy during World War II.  After his military service, he moved to Detroit and took a job with the Chrysler Corporation, where he worked for over 40 years, until his retirement in 1988.  He was a member of the United Auto Workers union.  He also worked part-time for Joe Sonc Auto Sales for many years.
Mr. Klobucher was an avid sports fan, and a keen follower of current events.  He was especially proud of his Slovenian heritage, and he was a proud member of the Slovenian National Benefit Society (SNPJ).
Visitation will be Monday, July 16th from 3 pm to 9 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights (one block north of 13 Mile Road on the west side of John R Road).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either the Hazel Park Promise Zone, or the Alzheimer’s research charity of your choice.
