Edward "Chief" Evans' Obituary
Edward “Chief" Evans, age 86, a resident of Hazel Park, Michigan for 65 years passed away on June 1, 2014. He was born on August 23, 1927.
Beloved Husband of the late Marian Evans (2001). Dear Father of Claudia (Jeffrey) Keeton, Dan (Cherie) Evans, Catherine (Keith Titcombe) Evans, David (Cindie) Evans and the late Timothy Evans. Grandfather of 14 and Great-Grandfather of 23. Brother of Vera Bascum.
Edward served during WWII in the Navy, a firefighter for the City of Hazel Park for 36 years and Chief for 10 years. His hobby was owning thoroughbred race horses. He was a member of the Hazel Park Eagles Aeire 2449 for 40 years and a Mason for 63 years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road, Hazel Park, Michigan. Funeral Service to be held on Thursday, June 5th at St. Patrick Episcopal Church, 1434 E.13 Mile, Madison Heights - 10:00 am Instate followed by the 11:00 am Service.
