Dorothy Messer's Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Messer Age 86 of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away December 6, 2022 Peacefully at her home. She was the daughter of Burchell and Maude Smith born on February 8, 1936 in Barbourville Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Colman Messer and daughter Judy Taylor and husband David Taylor. She was preceded in death by sister Doris Broughton and husband Pete Broughton and brothers James Smith and wife Betty, Leonard Smith and wife Mary, B.R. Smith and wife Cledia, Curtis Harold Smith, Paul Smith and sister-in-law Shirley Smith.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her son Scottie Messer and wife Sharon, Siblings, Clifford Smith of SC, Aaron Smith and wife Mabel of Murfreesboro TN, Geneva Horner and husband David of Tarpon Springs FL, Betty Miracle and husband Charles of Knoxville TN, H.R. Smith and wife Emily of Bimble KY, sister in law Zelma Smith of Davie Fl, five grand Children Shauna Messer, Elizabeth Rose and husband Dustin, Isaac Messer, Dorothy Anglin and husband George, Christina Collett, several great grandchildren, lots of nieces and nephews, friends and a special neighbor, Pat Roa who checked on her daily.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10th from 3:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Interment will be at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Twp, MI
