Donna J Villaruel (Marshall), Age 69 of Madison Heights, Michigan and formerly of Kapaa, Hawaii and of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on June 11, 2024 at her home. She was born July 8, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to Clyde and Lois (Reed) Marshall.
Beloved wife of Edmund Villaruel. Dear Mother of Clyde Kela Marshall (Nephew). Cherished sister of Dean S Marshall and Lorrie A Marshall. Loving auntie of Andreya Donna Marshall, Gary and Keri Marshall, Francisco and Cassandra Barrios, Bel and Taz Hernandez, Kevin Miller, Larry Miller, Amy Furman, Tianna Fuller, Great auntie of Brynn Marshall, Zoey Marshall. Donna is predeceased by her sister Sandra Miller, Brother Raymond Marshall, Brother Gary Marshall, Nephew Raymond Marshall.
Donna was born in Detroit Michigan and lived her childhood life until and adult in Hazel Park Michigan. She then moved to Hawaii and fell in love with the island life and that is where she was married in September 11, 1992 during Hurricane Iniki. In 2006 she returned to Michigan and lived the remainder of her life in Madison Heights. She loved nature most of all and her happy soul place was our family cabin in Alger, Michigan. She taught and influenced all her nieces and nephews to love and respect nature and all that it has to offer. Donna was loved by everyone who knew her and she will never be forgotten. The lord has gained a beautiful soul in heaven.
Visitation will begin on Saturday, June 22nd at 11:00 am and will continue until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:30 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will be at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Michigan.
