Donna Sue Johnson's Obituary
Donna Sue Johnson went home to be with her Savior on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the age of 73. She was born on January 2, 1953 in Highland Park, Michigan to George and Genevieve Johnson.
She was a Loving Mother of Paul, Dale and Dawn Kerscher. A Proud Grandmother of Matthew and Kolton Kerscher and Ashley Bray. She was a Great-Grandmother of Sklyar Bray. Donna was very close to her 4 sisters, Esther, Barbara, Stacey and Linda.
She loved spending time with her family and always made everyone laugh. One of the things she enjoyed the most was planting flowers in her front yard and decorating it with garden gnomes. Her yard always looked so beautiful and welcoming.
I always respected her honesty (though brutal at times), her love of animals, her strength and courage. She was feisty and a fighter till the very end.
I also want to thank the staff of Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Warren for taking care of her like she was their own mother and showing compassion to us.
Donna was also a good cook and no one made potato salad like hers. She was very thoughtful with gifts during the holidays. I will cherish them even more now because it makes me feel closer to her. She wasn’t just my mother, she was the best friend I could ever ask for. I was truly Blessed to be her daughter. This world will have less color and beauty in it now that she has left it. It comforts me to know that she’s pain free now and back home with the Lord and her Savior. Her light will forever shine in my heart.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the Funeral Service at 5:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
