Donald L. DeCamp II's Obituary
Donald L. DeCamp II, age 73 of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on September 21, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 22, 1943 in Williamston, Michigan to Mary and Donald DeCamp, Sr.
As well as preceded in death by his parents, his beloved sister, Donna Gerard.
Survived by sister, Evelyn Fundaro; daughters, Dawn Hammontree and Criss Holbrook; grandsons, Steven and Joshua and great-grandson Presley Jace.
Our dear friend loyally and honorably served our country in Vietnam from 1962 to 1965 and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service. Don has beautifully and gracefully devoted his life to helping countless veterans of war and those of us, who suffer from trauma, heal our hearts. Don's journey in helping others heal was cut short while he was working towards his Master’s degree in Social Work and our lives are forever changed because he made sure these starfish were returned home to the sea of Love.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Don's life on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 11 am until 1 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
Welcome Home, Don.
