Don Roller's Obituary
Husband of Late Norma J. Roller and the late Gloria J. Roller. Father of Norma (Ron) Griffiths of Warren, Duane (Karen) Pickering of Madison Hts, Karen O’Dell of Hazel Park, Gloria (Richard) Green of Shelby Twp., Mary (Jim) Hillman of Madsion Hts, Gordon (Tina) Pickering of Madison Hts, Tom (Lori) Pickering of Hazel Park, John (Theresa) Pickering of Dryden, and Polly (Jeff) Bennett of Chesterfield Twp. Grandfather of 21 and Great-grandfather of 20. Brother of Frank Roller, Larry Roller. Predeceased by sister Dorothy Ebert, and brothers George and Joseph Roller.
He retired from Awery’s Bakery where he was a truck driver. He was a member of Fr. Dolan Knights of Columbus in Hazel Park, both 3rd and 4th degree, and was a Past Grand Knight. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Hazel Park for many years. He was also active with the St. Vincent DePaul Society and belonged to the Alhambra Koriesk Caravan. He served in the Army in the Korean Conflict.
Visitation at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road (SW corner of John R. Road and Woodward Heights), Hazel Park. Saturday 6-9 pm and Sunday 2-9 pm with a rosary that evening at 7:00 pm. Funeral Monday at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Hazel Park, 9:30 am Instate (visitation) followed by a 10:00 am Mass. Burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
Memorial Donations to St. Mary Magdalen Church St. Vincent de Paul Society. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
