Dianne Jayne Gouin's Obituary
Dianne Jayne Gouin, age 68 of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on June 6, 2026 at Corewell Health Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. She was born on October 15, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan to Eugene and Rose (nee White) Gouin.
She is survived and loved by her seven siblings, Barbara Schell (John), Gary Gouin (Judy), Juanita Fanto (Karl Lund), David Gouin (Sherry), Dale Gouin, Denise Swift (Eric) and Keith Gouin. Dianne is also survived by Nieces, Nephews and 2 Great-Nieces.
Dianne was a lifelong resident of Hazel Park, Michigan. She was a graduate of Hazel Park High School Class of 1975. Her education included a dual diploma from the high school and the School of Cosmetology. Dianne started her nursing career in 1975 in a nursing home and quickly discovered her love of helping people and her love of medicine. Dianne enrolled in Wayne State University, School of Nursing and completed her nursing degree while working full time and in 1987 earned a BSN. Upon graduation she started her professional nursing career at Providence Hospital, Southfield, Michigan where she was employed for 30 years in the Emergency Room. Next she transitioned to the Veterans Administration Hospital, Detroit, Michigan and instantly found fulfillment working with Veterans. While there she formed warm friendships with many co-workers receiving support like a second family. Dianne retired from the VA Hospital in September 2025.
In addition to nursing she found another career, part time, as a tax preparer for H & R Block where she worked for 20 years during the tax season.
Dianne was a caring, kind and thoughtful person always thinking of others. Dianne was an avid reader, who also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and pottery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm with the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Immediately following the service burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
