Dennis Joseph Dutkiewicz, Sr., age 93, a longtime resident of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away on December 26, 2023 at home. He was born on April 8, 1930 to Vincent and Florence Dutkiewicz.
Beloved Husband of the late Doris Jeanne Dutkiewicz. Dear Father of Dennis J. (Liz) Dutkiewicz, Jr., Deborah Dutkiewicz, Donald (Nancy) Dutkiewicz and Jane (the late Greg) Cumming. Grandfather of John, Kim, Mike, Steve, Katie, John, Karen, Joe, Brandon and Jordan. Great-Grandfather of 7. He is survived by his Sister-in-law, Margaret Dutkiewicz.
He is retired from Chrysler Corporation. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Longtime member of St. Mary Magdalen Church. Member of the Hazel Park Planning Commission and Hazel Park Jaycees. He was active with the Hazel Park High School Booster Club.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, December 30th beginning at 10:30 am Instate followed by the 11:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Hazel Park, Michigan.
