Frank English
God i miss Dennis. He was one of the greatest art instructors ever. I first met him as a student at CCS in '95 and sought him out often for long talks. He was the first instructor at school EVERY DAY. Even if he was not paid for the day HE WAS THERE. He really helped many friends of mine as well. CCS treated many of us horribly when the take over happened and their treatment of Dennis was shocking.. I hope people never forget that. I was not told about his passing nor his funeral. That year i had a dream that he was walking down a hallway with people surrounding him, he told me "Aris wants to talk with you" (Aris was head of the fine arts department during what i consider CCS's final apex). Dennis should have been the next Fine Arts head but the world has not been a functional place... Later that year i learned about Dennis passing.. I cannot say enough about him. Thankfully i have a work of his art in our living room we see all the time. It is called "a conversation". It was in a faculty exhibit and i wanted to buy it but he insisted on giving it to me. Truly thankful to have come into his sphere of influence.
