Delphine Marie Wesolowski's Obituary
Delphine Marie Wesolowski, 94, of Madison Heights, Michigan died March 11, 2023 while in hospice care at Troy Beaumont Hospital. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to John and Stella Gordon, July 24th, 1928.
Delphine was married to Louis Leonard Wesolowski for 57 years and lived in her Madison Heights home for 74 years. She was an avid gardener and accomplished seamstress who enjoyed spending time with family, hosting large family holidays and cooking traditional Polish dishes to share with the family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend with a quick wit and sense of humor until the very end of her life. She worked in the houseware department at J.L. Hudson’s Department Store for 25 years. Upon retiring from Hudson’s she volunteered for another 10 years with the Hudson’s/Target Retirees Program at various organizations around the Metro Area such as the Detroit Historical Society, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Michigan Humane Society.
Delphine is preceded in death by her siblings John, Florence and Walter Gordon, her husband Louis Wesolowski and son Gerald Wesolowski.
Delphine is survived by her daughter Deborah McWilliams and sons Kenneth (Virg) and Timothy Wesolowski; 5 grandchildren Heather, Jennifer, Ryan, Carl and Jason; 9 great-grandchildren Rachel, Quentin, Carter, Adam, Jackson, Owen, Olivia, Evan and Emilia.
