Very sorry to hear. This news has left me subdued. I knew he was elderly and having difficulties but always hoped for the best for "Pop's" ! If there was an indelible mark he left on me I would choose the words to work hard and you'll never have any regrets.
His culture, legacy and tenacious perseverance is what he left us all. An insightful man, forever the instructor, the teacher, Norbert always was there with encouraging words and motivation, regardless of the situation.
He lived close to me when I was in Clawson and around election time, he always perked up to add perspective and substance to local issues.
Norbert was a principled man and dedicated to his family and just about any worthy cause. His resume of accomplishment and leadership is inspiring. He never gave up, always holding out hope and faith in the cause.
I learned an awful lot from Norbert, as you could, simply listening to him as he related time, history, wisdom and knowledge you just don't get out of a book or movie.
The Lord has taken our friend to be part of his calling, however, he has left us with his most fond memories forever. God bless and hold dear, our friend, Norbert Jaye!
