David Joseph Daigneault Jr.'s Obituary
David Joseph Daigneault, Jr. age 65, passed away on February 6, 2026 in Warren, Michigan. He was a longtime resident of Hazel Park, Michigan.
David was born on March 21, 1960 in Escanaba, Michigan to David Joseph Daigneault, Sr. and Carol Rose Daigneault, both of whom preceded him in death. He grew up in Hazel Park where he attended St. Mary Magdalen and later Hazel Park High School. Raised Catholic, David served as an altar boy in his youth, a role that reflected his family’s faith and values.
David built a strong work ethic early in life. He spent many years working at Stanley Doors, an experience that eventually led him to start his own business, A & D Doors. He proudly operated the business for many years working alongside his son, David Joseph Daigneault III, a partnership that meant a great deal to him.
David was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his son David Joseph Daigneault III; his daughter Nicole Cossin and her husband Jon Cossin; and his beloved grandchildren Violet, Gavin and Maverick.
He is survived by his siblings, Sandra Dickson, Kenneth Daigneault, Valerie Dube, and Lisa Cucchetti and her husband Vince Cucchetti. He is preceded in death by his parents, David Sr. and Carol, as well as his sister Theresa Egeler and brother in law, Randy Egeler.
David cherished time with his family, especially trips to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and visits to Florida to spend time with his dear friend Howie. Above all else, David’s greatest passion was fishing. He found true peace on the water, spending countless hours in his boat, doing what he loved most.
David will be remembered for his hard work, his love of family, and his deep appreciation for time spent outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 28th at 1:30 pm with Memorial Visitation from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
