Darlene Nancy Cole, age 74 of Fostoria, Michigan (formerly 34 year resident of Hazel Park) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 27, 2017 at her home. She was born on May 12, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Donald and Lillian Martin.
Beloved wife of the late Leroy Cole. Dear mother of Steven (Michele) Kirkwood, Garrett (Tina) Pate and Kelly (Steve) Pellow. She was preceded in death by her daughter Debra McCoig-Martin, sons David Kirkwood & Gerald Kirkwood. Grandmother and great-grandmother of 33. Sister of Donna Mae Theut, Doreen Martin, Denise (Randy) Whitmer and Dennis (Lupe) Martin and predeceased by brother Donald Martin Jr & sister Dianna Gering.
Darlene loved her family and enjoyed gambling at the casinos and playing the lottery. She enjoyed the outdoors and boating. She loved her puppies Coco and the late Annie. She spent many years with her furry kids.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1st from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Monday, October 2nd from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the funeral service to be held on Tuesday, October 3rd at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Road, (the south west corner on John R. Road at 9 ½ mile / Woodward Heights), Hazel Park, Michigan. Burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Michigan.
