I am the receptionist at Heartland Health Care Center-University where Cliff was working. I remember when he applied for the nurse position he later got. Through the years he was with us, I remember him as a kind and compassionate person. He was always friendly, always had a smile, even when stressed. His passing is such a loss for us. We had a memorial service at the nursing home yesterday at 11 a.m.--the same time as the funeral. There were so many people who came to pay their respects--employees, family members, residents. Cliff will be missed by so many people.

Dear Pat and family:
Pat, I was saddened to read about the death of your brother. Although I don't remember Clifton from school since he was younger than us, my heart goes out to you. When my brother, Chris, died in 2002, someone shared this with me: "When you lose your parents, you lose your past; when you lose your spouse, you lose your present; when you lose a child, you lose your future -- but when you lose a sibling, you lose your past, present and future."
