Charles William Layou, Jr.'s Obituary
Charles William Layou, Jr., age 65, of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on March 29, 2016. He was born on August 11, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan.
He was a fighter until the end with a strong heart. He always put himself last and was a faithful servant to God. He loved ketchup, oatmeal cream pies, Twinkies and Hersey’s chocolate. Chuck was born and raised in Hazel Park, Michigan.
Husband of Sandra Marie (maiden Travis) Layou. Father of Laura Layou, Dana Layou-Cruz and Amy Layou. Step-father of Michael Press and Brandon Press. Grandfather of Olivia Layou-Cruz. Step-Grandfather of Emily Randall. Son of Lorene Frances Layou and the late Charles W. Layou, Sr. Brother of Linda (Daniel) Layou-Fabiszewski, Deborah (Larry) White and Michael (Leah) Layou.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Sunday, April 3rd from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The Funeral will be held on Monday, April 4th at National Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church, Royal Oak, Michigan beginning at 9:30 am Instate followed by the 10:00 am Mass. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
