Charles Kunze's Obituary
Charles William Kunze, age 91, of Hazel Park, MI, passed away July 1, 2013 in Royal Oak, MI. He was born October 11, 1921 in Royal Oak Township, MI.
Beloved husband of Marian for 67 years. Loving father of Patricia (Jerry) Kline and Ronald (Edie) Kunze. Dear Grandfather of Amy (Robert Lipset) Kline, Dr. Krista (Dr. Ben Wilson) Kline, and Katie Kunze. Great Grandfather of Taylor and Charles Lipset. Great Great Grandfather of Robert Kost. He is also survived by two brothers, Donald Kunze and Frederick (Nancy) Kunze.
Charles served in the Army from 1942-1945 during WWII. He participated in the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a director of transportation, maintenance and custodial for 36 years for Hazel Park Schools.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 from 3pm to 9pm. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R, Madison Heights, MI 48071. Burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, MI.
