Catherine Irene Briesmiester's Obituary
Catherine “Katie” Irene Briesmiester, age 94 of Detroit, Michigan was born on September 17, 1928 and passed away peacefully on May 18, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Leo who passed away in 1999. Also preceded in death by her 2 sisters, brother, and nephew James “Jimmy” Eagle and his surviving wife, Nicole.
Catherine is survived by her daughters Kathleen “Kathy” Condrin and Nancy McDonald, her 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Her niece Elizabeth “Liz” Edwards and her husband Brad and 2 great-nephews. Her nephew Barney Klein and her great-great-niece.
Catherine spent the last 14 years at Cambridge Nursing Facility, now known as Mission Point in Madison Heights. She made friends, had birthday parties and celebrated the holidays with friends and family.
Catherine, better known as Granny is loved and will be deeply missed by many.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
