Carl Francis Lobsinger's Obituary
Carl Francis Lobsinger finished his work on this Earth on September 15, 2020 and journeyed to Heaven to be with his wife, Nancy. Born on December 8, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan. Carl was the third oldest child of Norman Peter and Elizabeth (Elsie) Lobsinger (nee Leiterman). Raised in Detroit with his older sisters, Helen and Nancy Joan, and his younger brother, John. Carl was a life-long resident of the greater Detroit area calling Warren, Michigan his home and later on, Troy, Michigan.
He graduated from Detroit Pershing High School in 1956 and married Nancy Jean Rutzel on December 3, 1960 in Highland Park, Michigan. Carl earned an apprenticeship at Ford Motor Company and became a journeyman electrician. He and Nancy had seven children; Eric D. (Laura Valencia) Lobsinger of Schertz, Texas; Jeffrey P. (Jennifer Singler) Lobsinger of Royal Oak, Michigan; David C. (Nancy Harrison) Lobsinger of Kansas City, Missouri; James M. (Jill DiGiovanni) Lobsinger of Troy, Michigan; Elisa M. (Steve Gooden) Richardson of Ferndale, Michigan; Jeremy P. (Robyn Sluszinskis) Lobsinger of Warren, Michigan and Lorna J. (Corey) Hadley of Iosco Township, Michigan. Grandfather of 12, Moniqua, Katie, Jason, Joseph, Erika, Michael, Gabriella, Jonathan, Emily, Andrew, Julia & Jenna. Carl is pre-deceased by his siblings, Helen Wilcox, Nancy Joan Lobsinger and John Lobsinger.
Carl was a devoted husband to Nancy, a wonderful father who did an amazing job of raising his children and grandchildren. He taught his children the value of honesty and a positive work ethic and taught his grandchildren that they were each special. Carl was a unique blend of discipline, love, and laughter. Carl will be missed.
Private services were held for the family with a Memorial Picnic planned post COVID-19. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the St. Bonaventure Capuchin Monastery or Gleaners Community Food Bank of SE Michigan in Carl’s name.
