Carl Wilfred Essenmacher, age 81 of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on March 3, 2019 in Madison Heights, MI. He was born on October 26, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Wilfred and Gladys Essenmacher.
Beloved Husband of Mary Essenmacher. Dear Father of Theresa (Jim) Clifford, Stephen (Mary Beth) Essenmacher, Peter (Kelly) Essenmacher, and Phillip (Cynthia) Essenmacher. He is pre-deceased by his sons, Michael, Patrick and Timothy. Grandfather of 9 and Great-Grandfather of 1. Brother of Shirley Downey, Louise Poulsen, the late Dorothy Downey and the late Gary Essenmacher.
Long standing member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 2781 and a 4th Degree. Member of the St. Mary Cathedral choir member, part time farmer and a builder contractor. Carl loved hunting and fishing.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm (Rosary 7:00 pm) at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 9th beginning at 9:00 am - Instate followed by the 9:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Anastasia Church, 4571 John R. Road, Troy, Michigan.
