Bessie Elton Cronk's Obituary
Bessie Elton Cronk, age 97 years of Prudenville, Michigan and formerly of Waterford, Michigan passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024 at home with her loving family. She was born on May 28, 1927 in Lyon, Kentucky to Lemuel and Mamie (maiden Barnett) Ingram.
Beloved Wife of the late Charles Cronk. They were married on March 25, 1946. Dear Mother of Charles B. (Linda) Cronk and predeceased by her children, Michael Cronk, Lawrence (Kathy) Cronk, Bryan Cronk, Keith Cronk and Suzanne Cronk. Bessie is survived by her daughters-in-law, Sue Cronk, Marlene Cronk and Pam Cronk. Grandmother of 17, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Wanda Lanpher and Jan Morgan. She is predeceased by her siblings, Frieda Lacy, Louis Ingram, Neva Glass, Lucian Ingram and Glen Ingram.
Bessie was a shining example of a matriarch with strong family values. She enjoyed music, crocheting, knitting, traveling, nature and reading.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21st from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday, August 22nd from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. Burial to be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
