Bernard Earl Naugle's Obituary
Bernie died peacefully with family at his side on August 6, 2025, in Troy, Michigan.
Bernie was born March 14, 1952, in the family home in Elton PA to Earl Ray and Zella Luella Naugle.
He enjoyed his youth growing up on the family farm with his five siblings and many cousins close by. Bernie graduated from Richland High school in 1970. Bernie loved attending church and singing with the choir.
Bernie eventually moved to Michigan to be closer to family there. Bernie was very proud of the jobs he held in Michigan, working at several local grocery stores. He enjoyed many activities over the years, bowling, playing cards, and going on walks.
In 2019 Bernie moved to a new group home where he received incredible care and had many friends. His favorite activities there included shopping, going out to eat, and working on puzzles.
Bernie’s all-time favorite activity was attending a good party, especially if that party had a cake!
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Zella Naugle, brother James Naugle, and sister-in-law Cathie Naugle. Bernie is survived by his brothers Gary Naugle and Dean Naugle, sisters Linda (Floyd) Thomas and Deb (Frank) Goodbred, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and countless cousins.
There will be a private family ceremony for Bernie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in Bernie’s name.
