ALLEN, BEATRICE “IRENE”, age 95 of Detroit, died March 24, 2012. She was born July 30, 1916, in Ontario, Canada. Beloved wife of the late William Allen. Dear mother of Herbert (Tanya) Allen and loving sister of Mary Nygard. She was predeceased by her daughter Marilyn Cox and brother Donald Coburn. A life long member of St. Rita Parish in Detroit, she was Valedictorian of the first graduating class in 1933. Services Wednesday 9:30 AM in state until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM, at St. Bartholomew Church, Detroit. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
