Barbara Therrien's Obituary
Barbara Yvonne Therrien, aka Bobbie, age 73, of Madison Heights, Michigan, passed away on December 14, 2010. Born February 11, 1937 in Grand Tower, Illinois, the eleventh child of Ed and Delia McIntosh. Loving wife of the late Frederick William Therrien. She died on the 17th anniversary of the death of her son Kelly Therrien. She is survived by her son Rick Therrien, daughter in law Janis Therrien, and two grandchildren Jennifer Therrien Rigato and Megan Therrien. Bobbie was a remarkable woman, born with polio, on crutches, unable to work, and with no transportation, she raised two boys and kept her home on the meager funding of social security. She displayed the true perseverance only a mother would have. Visitation Thursday 3 pm until 9 pm, with the funeral Friday at 11 am, at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Rd., Madison Heights. Bobbie will be laid to rest alongside her late Husband at Evergreen Cemetery in Detroit Michigan. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the March of Dimes,.
