So sorry for the loss of your mother - there are no words to remove the empty feelings, however, through the fog, we can find hope. What a wonderful day that will be when you see her again in heaven and give her a great big hug. Sometimes I like to think of heaven and earth this way: Earth is the ground floor and Heaven in the upstairs, yet there are no stairs connecting the two . . . yet. She's just hanging out up there doing her own thing upstairs, while you do yours downstairs, for now.
I enjoyed your mom so much, talking with her was always like being in the "old neighborhood" with people who loved and knew me. She leaves a great legacy; I am thankful for the gift of knowing her. Much Love, Pam
This kind woman watched me and my brothers grow up starting at Ford Elementary. We crossed paths agains as she later worked in the high school. I even had the chance to eventually work along side her as I had my first permanent sub position at HPHS. I always enjoyed being able to share memories with her from when my brothers and I were younger, while getting to share the new things coming up. I am glad I was able to have known her in such a variety. My heart goes out with prayers to her family and friends.
Barb was one of the kindest people I have had the opportunity to know and would like to send my sincere condolences to the family. Rest In Peace friend!
Barb was a beautiful person your child went to Ford or HPHS she knew them and their families. She touch many lives and had great impact on them and her smile was just that big as her heart. We were a Ford Elementary family and staff and student alway band together . To her children my deepest condolences I know the world was a better place because of her you all were so blessed . May she RIP may prayers 🙏
I worked with Barb from June 2009-2010 at HPHS. She LOVED talking about sweet Ava and no matter what mood she was in, if you brought up Ava her face would light up. I think she was about 2-3 at the time? There were new pictures all the time along with new stories of cuteness. We stayed in contact once I graduated. Her question for me every time we spoke is when I would start having babies. :) My husband was also her Co-Op a year after me and she adored him. She loved us both so much and made it known. So thankful for Barb and the time to getting to see her daily for the time we had. I’m so sorry to the whole family as I can’t imagine the loss. Barb loved all of you so much and loved bragging on all of her girls. She especially loved bragging on the Grandbabies! Sending love and prayer to you all. :heartpulse:
We were so lucky to have Barb in our HPHS family. She brought joy to everyone (unless you were late handing in your grades). Her people feeder was a popular stop and she kept us supplied with jelly beans. She always had time for a laugh with her peeps. Barb had so much pride and love for her family. She will be missed dearly.
Barb was one of the nicest, most genuine people I ever knew. One of my favorite memories was our high school graduation party at her home, the only place I ever "floated." She will be missed.
"I remember first meeting Barb during my stint as Human Reproductive Co-ordinator. She was the point person at the High School that I had to talk to for mailing out letters for students enrolled in elective courses. Honestly, at first, I was a little afraid of her. Then I got to know her and realized what a gem she was. Hard working and devoted to Hazel Park students and their families. I can still hear her voice and her laughter. Thank you Barb for your service to Hazel Park Community Schools!" Yvonne Emlet
I am so blessed to have known this lady and her family. As a part of the huge Ford School family I would like to express my condolences. A few of us had breakfast with her in January and it just felt so good to be together again. May she Rest In Peace. You will be so missed.
