Aurelia M. Evans' Obituary
Aurelia M. Evans, age 101, a 56 year resident of Hazel Park, Michigan passed away at William Beaumont Hospital, in Royal Oak, Michigan on May 9, 2022. She was born on April 16, 1921 in Romania to Mathew and Elizabeth Mayer.
Beloved Wife for 25 years of the late Jack Evans. Dear Mother of Deborah Boseak, Theresa (Robin) Richart, and Sherry Abate. Loving Grandmother of 8 surviving grandchildren and 2 grandchildren, who have preceded her in passing. Aurelia is survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many other extended family members.
In 1976, she graduated from Oakland University. Aurelia volunteered her time at St. John Hospital until she was 90 years old. She was an avid mall walker until the age of 94. She was a parishioner at St. Justin’s Parish for 65 years. Aurelia enjoyed playing Wii Bowling and Ladder ball and participating in outings, especially going to the Casino.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11th from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Instate will begin at 10:30 am and will continue until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 12th, at St. Justin’s Catholic Church, 1631 E Elza Ave, Hazel Park, MI 48030. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
