Audrey Ruth Matthews, age 83 a 67 year resident of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on March 28, 2017 at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. She was born on December 6, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to Walter and Joanna Bendena.
Beloved Wife of John for 63 years. Dear Mother of Christopher (Joan) Matthews, Daniel (Peggy) Matthews, Mark (Donna) Matthews, Nancy (Kirk) Royster and Theresa (Wayne) Silva. She is pre-deceased by sons, John Matthews and Joseph Matthews. Grandmother of 14 and Great-Grandmother of 17. Dear Sister of Nancy Edwards, Lawrence Bendena and the late Barbara Plaskey.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2nd from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan. The Funeral will be held on Monday, April 3rd beginning with 10:00 am Instate followed by the 10:30 am Mass at Guardian Angels Church, Clawson, Michigan. Burial to take place on Tuesday, April 4th at 11:30 am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Beaumont Hospice.
