Anthony Napolitano,'s Obituary
Anthony “Tony” Napolitano, Sr., 87 of Royal Oak, left this world peacefully on September 27, 2013 in Madison Heights. He was born to Michael and Pauline (Marinello) Napolitano on September 23, 1926. He married Theresa L. Granica on June 25, 1949.
Mr. Napolitano was a proud World War II Veteran and was on the 1st Michigan Honor Flight to Washington D.C. His volunteer work and interests included: member of St. Mary Magdalen Church, Bingo at Clawson Knights of Columbus, lifetime member of the Bishop Foley Dad’s Club, lifetime member and 3rd Degree member of Fr. Dolan Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Madison Heights Senior Center. His humor and love of life will be missed by many people.
He is survived by his children Geralyn (Gary) Easton, Anthony Jr., John and Jacalyn (David) Barrette. Grandchildren Angela (Eric) Zuellig, Scott Barrette, Steven Barrette, Brandon Napolitano, Dionna McQuade, Dana (Eric) St. Pierre and Robert Barrette. Great Grandchildren Dieter, Grace, Devon, Aaricka and Madison. Brother of Alex (Catherine) Napolitano.
He is preceded in death by his wife Theresa, parents Michael and Pauline Napolitano, sisters Frances Purgatory and Antoinette DiMarzio.
Visitation will be Sunday 3pm-9pm and Monday 2pm-9pm (Rosary 7:30pm) at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights, MI. Funeral will be held on Tuesday at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Hazel Park, MI at 10:30am Instate / 11:00 am Mass.
