Ann Schmitz's Obituary
Ann M. Schmitz, age 90, of New Haven, Michigan, formerly of Ferndale, Michigan; passed away April 9, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Hubert “Smitty” Schmitz Jr.; loving mother of Nan (John) Abke, Patricia (Peter) O’Rourke, Kathleen Butash, Janet (Tom) Falzetta, Daniel (Cindy Charnock), Mark (Barbara Bryant), and Betty (Thomas) Berti. Loving grandmother of 18 and great grandmother of 12. “May God’s Perpetual Light Shine Upon Her” as she will be missed immensely. The family will receive friends, Tuesday 3-9 pm (rosary at 7 pm) at the Hopcroft Funeral Home, 23919 John R. Rd, Hazel Park, Michigan. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 50 E. Annabelle Ave., Hazel Park, Michigan; with visitation from 9:30 am until 10:00 am mass. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
