Angela Dawn Picard's Obituary
Angela Dawn Picard, age 49, passed away on May 30, 2025, at Henry Ford - Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. She was born on a cold, snowy Sunday afternoon at the same hospital, where her journey both began and ended.
Angela was known for her generous spirit, her deep love for family, and her enduring affection for Mickey Mouse, a favorite since she was just two years old. She worked in various retail positions throughout her life, always bringing warmth and kindness to those she encountered, until health challenges required her to step away from work.
Angela had a special place in her heart for children. Her talent for knitting resulted in countless beautifully crafted baby blankets, each one soft, comforting, and made with love. Her giving nature touched many, and she was always ready to offer support, comfort, or a handmade gift.
She is survived by her loving mother, Monta Jo (Henson) Picard Loop, and her devoted brother, Micheal Bryan Picard. Angela was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Albert Picard; step-father, Milo Loop; sister-in-law, Monette (Jambois) Picard; nephew, Logan Micheal Picard; grandparents, Leander “Al” Picard and Mary Louise (Daniel) Picard; and Mazola A. (Barker) Henson and Charles W. Henson; and several other beloved family members.
Angela was proud to be part of an incredibly large and close-knit extended family, including twenty-five aunts and uncles, twenty-seven first cousins and their partners, and many second and third cousins. Her life was woven into the fabric of a family that cherished her deeply and will miss her immensely.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Memorial Service at 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block N. of 13 Mile Road, west side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to her mother, Monta Jo (Henson) Picard Loop, via Venmo, to assist with covering memorial expenses.
