Adela McClatchey's Obituary
McClatchey, Adela, age 91, was called to her just reward on Sunday, August 10, 2014, passing peacefully in her Madison Heights Home. Adela was the beloved wife of the late Patrick. Loving moth- er of Patrick (Marg), the late Maureen (died in infancy), Michael, Kenneth (Cheryl), Brian ‘Skip’, the late Timothy, Mary, Sheila (Gerald) Murphy, Rob (Liz), Allen (Shelly) and Maggie. Adela was also a loving grandmother to 17 and great-grandmother to seven. She was loved and will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews (around the world). Adela worked tirelessly to provide for her family, extended family, neighbors and friends and there was always room for one more in her home. In addition, Adela was a profoundly devout woman, never wavering in her faith and always willing to help anybody that needed it, including her extended family at St. Benedict in Highland Park, as well as St. Mary Magdalen in Hazel Park in her later years. All of her children’s friends were welcome at her home and she treated them as she did her own. She will be missed dearly and remembered for all of her kindness. Memorial donations can be made to The Capuchins.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 from 3-9 p.m. at hopcroft Funeral home, Madison Heights Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Hazel Park, Mich., 10:30 a.m. Instate followed by Mass at 11 a.m. hopcroftfuneraldirectors.com
