My Uncle Stan was delightful. At any family gathering, I was drawn to him and listen to his wit and artful storytelling. Since childhood, he had a very special place in my heart. At Christmas I remember a sleigh he built that was on the roof of his warm Royal Oak home. In the summer, our families were invited to join theirs to Cass Lake or Kensington Park. It was a joy to be with him and my awesome cousins. It was always sad to see the day end. Uncle Stan built a small play ground in his backyard. Surrounded by a corral white wooden fence were playground equipment. As a horse lover of ANY kind, I was totally enamored by the charming carousel he made. There were four brightly painted horses to sit on as someone gave the circle a push. What excellent, caring and creative work my uncle did for his children. My Uncle Stan was a person not afraid to give of his time because he simply loved people. I am so happy that I have countless memories that will remain in my heart as I remember how much I loved him with so many others. I wish you peace, love and blessings from God, dear uncle. --Dorothy's Daughter, Denise
