Michael D. Kimble, 61 of Sterling Heights passed away peacefully on September 8th. Michael was born January 18, 1960 to the late Virgil and Loretta Kimble. Michael is survived by his wife Karene (Walsh) Kimble and his children Scott (Nikki Zibisky) Kimble, Samantha (Rocky) Montgomery, Amanda (Jason) Sowa, and Thomas Wittner II. He was the loving grandfather to his four grandchildren: James Sowa, Titus, Mattie, and Mason Montgomery. He is also survived by his sisters Darlene Durham and Lori (Steve) Cash and his many nieces and nephews. Michael worked many years at the Detroit News and after retiring from there he worked as a security supervisor at Guardsmark for General Dynamics. Michael also proudly served as a reserve officer for the city of Roseville for over 23 years. Michael will be loved and deeply missed by those closest to him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11th from 3:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 7:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, (1 block North of 13 Mile Road, West side of John R. Road), Madison Heights, Michigan.
