Lottie Ann Roeske

June 25, 1931 - March 25, 2017

Roeske, Lottie Ann, a 60 year resident of Madison Heights, passed away March 25, 2017. Lottie grew up in Hamtramck and graduated from St. Florian. She was the daughter of Walter and Antonina Pilatowicz and sister of Clarence, Hedy (Loomis), and Stanley, all predeceased. She met the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Roeske, and was married for 63 years, raising a beautiful family with 3 children: Don, Deb and Dar (affectionally known as DoDeDa). Lottie retired from Ford Tractor, then played with owning a beauty salon, volunteering with the Alhambra Organization, and enjoyed being a snowbird in Florida with her husband. Lottie was the heart and soul of her family. She raised 3 children who, by her loving example of commitment, have all been married over 30 years. (Don/Cindy, Deb/Steve and Dar/Kevin). She was a doting Gramma to her 6 grandchildren: Tony (Sue), Lyn, Jill (Stephan), Steve, her beloved Aly in heaven, and Brittany. She was a beautiful presence and active in all their lives. Her love, faith, and encouragement will be missed. She continued the tradition of singing Polish lullabies to her great grandchildren: Bennett, Rudy, Madilyn, Benjamin, and Sunny, leaving imprints in their hearts. Family times were filled with traditions, birthdays, anniversaries, sharing laughter, Polish food, and special coffee drinks. Her home was comfortable and welcoming. She loved traveling, bowling, bingo, casino gambling on penny slots, Woodward cruising, and Saturdays with her two adult daughters Deb and Dar, getting mani/pedicures, shopping, and attending art fairs and farmer’s markets. Her earthly love will be greatly missed, but she will forever be in our hearts. Visitation Friday, March 31st from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Hopcroft Funeral Home, 31145 John R. Road, Madison Heights. Funeral Saturday, April 1st, 10:30 am Instate, 11:00 am Mass at Guardian Angels Church, Clawson, MI.
