Charles Nolan Wilkey II “Nolan” of Madison Heights, passed away on April 23rd 2020 at the age of 27. Nolan is survived by his loving Mother Jeanette Whittle-Wilkey, his two brothers Nicholas and Nathan, and his Father Charles “Chuck” Wilkey. Nolan loved all sports and was a dedicated musician throughout his life. Although he had jobs, music was his true occupation and passion. Nolan can best be described as an “old soul.” Nolan was very compassionate and would do anything for anyone at anytime. One of his last acts before passing was to call a family member who was sick and check on them. Nolan never ended a conversation without saying “I love you.” Thinking of others was always a priotity. Nolan battled diabetes from an early age and was also in reimission from cancer at the time of his passing. Nolan’s sobriety was something he and all around him were proud of. In such a short life he went through much and was a bright and shinning example of ones attitude through diversity. He was always there with something that would make you smile. Not thinking of himself, only how are you? He was free with his emotion and expressing his love for one and all. Nolan will be missed by so many around him and in his life. The family is asking for donations in Nolan’s honor be made to: “Diabetes Solut1ons” https://diabetessolut1ons.org/. This organization helps children and young adults with diabetes and their families with activities and counseling. Donations can also be made to Henry Ford Maplegrove treatment center, 6773 W Maple Rd, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48322 in Nolan’s honor.
